- Risk
- You earn from
- Stolen vehicles (no commands)
- Signature move
- The 60% lock-breaker
How you earn
- No special commands. Walk up to a locked vehicle and try to get in. You have a 60% chance that the lock breaks and the vehicle becomes yours. Anyone can take an unlocked vehicle, but only a Car Jacker can try a locked one.
- Sell what you steal. At a selling area,
/vsellpays 50% of the shop price. The owner can sell a vehicle, and so can whoever got out of it last, so a stolen car turns straight into cash. - Take your pick. Any locked civilian vehicle is fair game. Police vehicles can never be stolen.
What can go wrong
- Stars either way. A failed attempt earns you 1★, and a successful one costs 1★ too.
- Everyone finds out. When a lock breaks, the owner is told, and so are the police, with the location.
- A failed attempt locks you out. The owner gets a warning, and that vehicle is off-limits to you for 30 seconds.
- One vehicle at a time. You can only have one vehicle out at once, so you can't stack stolen cars.
- A car is not a shield. Police can't cuff you inside a vehicle, but at 4–5★ they can pull it over (everyone is thrown out and locked out for 8 seconds) or wreck it (2 hits with an iron sword, or 4 arrows), and wrecking it costs them no stars.
Pro tips
- Check the street for blue glows before you try a lock. The police get your location the moment it works.
- If a lock holds, try a different vehicle. The one that beat you is off-limits for 30 seconds.
- Don't wreck what you can sell. Destroying someone else's vehicle adds 2★.
- Lock your own vehicle with
/lkwhen you get out. There are other Car Jackers out there.
