Mine Theft Auto: Vice City is a free Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.8+ Cops & Robbers roleplay and economy server set in Vice City (server address: minetheftauto.org). Real players are the police and the criminals, with wanted stars, police chases, bank heists, cars, planes and helicopters, houses you can build into mansions, gangs, a stock market and a casino. You start with $50,000 and pick one of 12 classes.

## What makes it different
Most Minecraft "cops and robbers" servers are short prison-escape minigames. Mine Theft Auto: Vice City is a persistent city: classes, jobs, wanted stars, chases between real players, a bank to rob, cars, houses, gangs, a stock market and a casino, and your cash, house and rank are kept between sessions.

## Classes (12)
- Police Officer (The Law): Serve, protect… and collect. Earns from: Arrests, tickets, patrols and a daily salary.
- Pickpocket (The Outlaws): Nothing personal. Just business. Earns from: /rob, bank jobs and holdups.
- Kidnapper (The Outlaws): Everyone has a price. Earns from: Ransoms.
- Drug Dealer (The Outlaws): Grow it. Sell it. Don't get caught with it. Earns from: Weed sales.
- Weapons Dealer (The Hustlers): Supply the underground. Earns from: Shop margins.
- Potion Dealer (The Hustlers): Liquid courage. Earns from: Shop margins.
- Items Salesman (The Hustlers): The legit business. Mostly. Earns from: Shop margins.
- Deliveryman (The Hustlers): You want it there by Friday? Earns from: Delivery pay.
- Taxi Driver (The Hustlers): Where to, boss? Earns from: Passenger fares (you set the price).
- Patient Zero (The Outlaws): It's not personal. It's viral. Earns from: None. This one is pure chaos.
- Hitman (The Hustlers): Somebody paid for this. Earns from: Bounties.
- Car Jacker (The Outlaws): Nice car. Shame about the lock. Earns from: Stolen vehicles (no commands).

## Wanted stars and police
- Up to 5 wanted stars. Every crime adds stars.
- Tickets for 1 to 3 stars: $1,500, $5,500, $9,500.
- At 4 stars and above police can pull your vehicle over and cuff you.
- Jail: 5 minutes at 4 stars (bail $7,500), 7 minutes at 5 stars (bail $12,500).
- Officers earn $25,000 for a 4-star arrest and $35,000 for a 5-star arrest.

## Crime
- Bank jobs pay up to $1,500,000; other robberies up to $500,000. Payouts grow with the number of players online.
- Store holdups pay $2,000 every 3 seconds, up to $40,000.
- Also: pickpocketing, lockpicking, house robberies, kidnapping for ransom.

## Vehicles
- 17 vehicles at the Vehicle Dealer: Oxboard, Bicycle, Raft, Sedan, Cargo Jeep, Delivery Van, Jeep, SUV, Motorcycle, Sport Sedan, Boat, Hotrod, Sports Car, Hovercraft, UFO, Racecar, Speedboat.
- Airfield aircraft: Light Plane ($150,000), Helicopter ($250,000), Sport Plane ($300,000).
- Top speed is capped at 22 blocks per second. Vehicles can be locked, stolen (Car Jackers can break locks), wrecked and sold back for 50% of the shop price.

## Economy
- Cash can be robbed; the bank cannot. Death tax 3% of cash and bank (max $500,000) unless you carry Life Insurance.
- Stock market: 10 companies (Real estate, Resorts, Arms, Motors, Fishing, Yachts, Nightlife, Steel, Cartel, Airlines), prices update each in-game day.
- Houses cost $1,000,000 to $3,500,000, come with full build rights (build your own mansion) and rooms can be rented out.
- Gangs cost $5,000 to start and hold territory zones that pay cash into the gang bank.

## Casino
Open all night. Games include Slot machine (Classic), Roulette and Double Roulette, Blackjack, Poker, Dice, Crash, Minesweeper, Darts, Drums, Races, Pyramid, Stairs, Dead Man's Chest, Rock-Paper-Scissors and Tic-Tac-Toe, Lottery. Played with normal in-game cash. The High Roller Casino is for players with $10,000,000 or more and has better odds.
